This month on the pilots club, we watched the pilot of the original CSI from 2000. We discuss how the show’s focus on science was unique for procedurals of the time, and how it feels like a predecessor to Mythbusters. We also talk about the pilot’s vignette structure, dramatic lighting, immediately likeable characters, and corn cobs.
